About

Kat Hannon, Image Maker, is a commercial and wedding photographer based in Surrey, south west of London.

I live and work around London now.  I’ve been here for a good 4 years and it feels like home.  I’ve got my regular folk who I walk by on my way to Cutters, the odd ball ‘got everything you need’ type shop, or the weirdly but wonderfully placed Superdrug, next to the hated but wonderful little Tesco.

All the shops around here are controversial.  Like the old saying ‘can’t live with them, can’t live without them’.  (I know that’s about men & women but the same applies here.)

I’m situated over the bridge from Richmond in a small town called St. Margarets.  If any of you have been to Richmond – especially on a summers day you will know how lovely it is.  Lovely is an easy & simple word to use but in this case is perfectly describes the sensation that town gives me – if you say it in a Keira  Knightly voice maybe you’ll get a hint of what I am trying to say.

I live near my family and some friends, although many of them seem to be in Camden or Kentish Town, but I have chosen to stay here as its soo much greener.  It seems so foggy up north.  No offense to you northern livers – I know you love it and its addictive to live there.  Try getting a north London person to come to South West London, virtually impossible, it’s all ‘but its too far’, ‘how do I get home’, ‘what’s to do down there’??

The answer is, ‘I offered you a bed’ (thats sounds rude – I’m a taken lady – I mean a couch), ‘lying on the grass in the fresher air’ and ‘super celeb spotting’ I don’t look for it but I’ve seen Dirty Den outside my bedroom window (not peering in I might add) Kate Beckinsale in M&S and Daniel Day Lewis in St. Margarets.  I consider those to be great celebrity sightings.  Could have a made a few bucks if i’d sent them to Heat magazine.

Ok, so what else do you need to know about me.  You know all the technical stuff from my website so I suppose some personal stuff might be gritty.

I am 5-foot 6,  blonde,  blue eyed,  Scorpio.  I get told ‘Oh yes, I can see that now’ when I tell people I am a Scorpio.  I always take it as a compliment.  I think it means feisty but fair, never judge but always ananlysing what’s going on.  ‘Nosey’ some might say – in fact when I was a baby I was called ‘beaky boots’ because I always used to peek around the buggy to see what’s going on, and all mum could see was the end of my nose trying to look round.

I love that story.  Not so gritty though eh, more cute – or at least my partner would think so.
